I started practicing yoga in 2009. It had always been strictly a fitness workout for me, until Feb 2016 when I started the Fluid Yoga teacher training. It really exposed me to a much deeper and broader dimension of Yoga as a WHOLE – diving into Body, Speech, Mind aspects.

I completed the 200-hour YTT in July 2016, and by July 2018 had completed the 500 YRT.

Fluid Yoga Flow is based on the 5 Tibetan Elements:

  1. Earth: A seated, breathing exercise that aims to ground you
  2. Water: A slow, gentle movement of the spine, shoulders & neck, slowly building the heat
  3. Fire: Energetic flows, standing series, warrior series, arm balance and twisting, etc, aimed to target and fire the core.
  4. Air: Floor base poses, more back bend, sitting twist, hips opening, etc, aimed to increase air & wind flows within the body – targeting all energy channels.
  5. Space: The practice of slowing heart rate & breathing and allowing the mind to be still and vast, while placing the body and mind in complete relaxation — Savasana.

Yoga transcends beyond a fitness practice for me. I aim to bring fitness to the mind. It is my hope to teach others how to train their minds through the practice of Yoga Asana – combining meditative breathing, concentration, and introduce a basic level of the anatomy to help to reduce unnecessary injury when the practice is not done mindfully.

*** Yoga Nidra: Yoga Sleep (conscious sleep) is an extended class offering (60-75 min sessions) by request only. This timeless, ancient practice has been through thousands of years of testing and continues to thrive in modern society where stress, insomnia & anxiety etc, are very common.
